My aim is to push the development of my work in motorsports. I have started this process by looking into media passes and jobs inside the media unit at circuits inside the UK. I have contacted two different tracks currently and have received email responses from Brands Hatch and Oulton Park. This has allowed me to look into ways to be able to obtain the media passes. To be able to obtain a media pass, you have to be part of a recognised media publication and be able to prove this with the relevant documentation that the circuits require for insurance purposes. This has added an extra level of research that I need to consider to finish my understanding of the process of obtaining the media pass. However, this doesn’t stop me from continuing to look for a job opportunity within the circuit’s internal media group.

In the meantime, I have been further planning and developing my skills in the motorsport photography category, which has helped with the development and creation of this side of my portfolio. I have also used this to introduce myself to photographers in this area and other student photographers who are pursuing similar areas of employment to be able to knock ideas together and build upon each other’s work when shooting at events.
