Bin Shoot
Shoot one for the bins project. The work was shot in Manchester City centre and produced a wide range of different styles that I am getting feedback on. I found that shooting the individual bins for the start of this project was interesting due to the way that people look at your interaction with the bin in a strange way due to the obscurity of what you are actually doing. At the end of the day you are shooting a bin, an object that is so ordinary but so strange to see as the subject of an image that people look puzzled when I was shooting them. It did add a separate dynamic to the images because of this as it almost personified the bins as lonely. This is a strange way to perceive them as they are everywhere and most people interact with them as they are used to throw away rubbish. This could, however, also make them further seem lonely due to the way they are used to dispose of the unwanted rubbish people have. The state that some of the bins are in also makes them seem sad due to the way you can see that they have been mistreated and the damages that they have got due to the use that they get.
