Ponte City

“the building seems to speak so much to the condition of the city”

Ponte City escapes the dehumanising overarching perspective of those who view the world from the god’s eye.

Ponte City is shown to be a dehumanising way of living, almost a dystopian world that has been created for the inheritance that lives there. People resist the plans others have for them, and this causes the conflict to be unjust in the area. And furthermore, even the police force couldn’t get in at some points during the worst time due to violence and gang crime.

Visual language Style

The images explain the city by themselves due to the depth and angles that have been chosen. This adds a looming effect to the building, almost falling out of the image, and creates the idea of you feeling small even after simply looking at them.
